Thetford fridge woes
Fridge woes. If you have followed our recent posts you will
know that our Thetford series 3000 fridge has been playing up. On recent trips, it has worked fine on gas or
12v but not on electric hook up. At times, it has been playing up on gas and/or
12v as well! Quite bizarre. A nightmare
at times!
The good people at Devon and Cornwall Motorhomes came to our
rescue. Preliminary investigations showed it to be a faulty PCB unit. So, one
was ordered and a date booked into the diary for the repair.
Come repair day, the part had not arrived. Parcelforce not
operating at its best. The parcel was chased up. Meanwhile the old PCB unit was
removed.
A disaster. An element had also imploded. The fridge was
going to have to be taken out to get at it. Another part was ordered,
guaranteed delivery for next day.
Finally, a day late, both bits turn up at the same time and
the repair is affected. The fridge is put back in place. All is as new, fully
tested and working as it should. Poor Bryony had been out of action for three
days.
The team at Devon and Cornwall Motorhomes are an amazing
group - professional, efficient and very knowledgeable. A great team, who take
a pride in their work. Bryony is always in safe hands when she visits them!
She is now ready for her next adventure!
