The advantage of living in Plymouth is that Cornwall is just down the road – it’s local! So, we escape for a five-day break – heading down to Mullion. Here’s a summary!

Day 1 to 4 – Base Tenerife Farm down near Mullion

This is a National Trust site just a couple of miles from Mullion. More expensive than we normally pay but rather nice and all we could get at short notice. You can walk down the road and straight out onto the cliffs and a lovely cliff top walk to either Kynance Cove or Mullion Cove.

So much cycling too! It was sunny and warm! We cycled to Lizard Point (one of my favourite places). Then there was a bike ride to Cadgewith and Kennack Sands. A day was spent wandering around Falmouth – we caught the boat down and back from the large car park on the outskirts.

Day 4 – 7 Treveague farm, Goran Haven

We transfer to Treveague farm, which in all honesty is one of our all-time favourite sites where you can walk straight out on to the cliffs and there are some lovely hidden beaches nearby. A great little farm café as well. Yummy bacon rolls and coffee for breakfast. Great views out to sea.

We cycle to Mevagissy, then on to Pentewan sands.

The other two days? We can’t remember, we were having such a chilled relaxed time!

I did do lots of star gazing though!
