Heading back north

We are driving back to Llanberis after spending a day and night down south. Reassured over the family emergency and that everything is as it should be, we are driving back up through familiar territory.

We are staying at the Llanberis Touring Park and it takes us most of the day to reach it. After setting up, we stroll through the woods and into the village to grab some fish and chips which we then devour whilst sat on a bench overlooking Llyn Padarn.

Behind us is a 3m high ancient iron sword stuck into the ground. An entire hydro-electric power station is buried under the mountain in front of us; which itself just looks like one massive slate waste tip. Great place is Llanberis. So much to see and muse on!
