Making modifications to an Autosleeper Broadway EB 2019 model

 Making modifications to our motorhome.

Although we have only spent a total of 10 nights in Bryony so far, we are already assembling a list of modifications that will hopefully make life a little easier. In no particular order, here are some of our ideas. We should say we have no idea whether they are feasible or not. We guess it will be a matter of trial and error.

1.       Getting an extending pole to fit into the shower when we are on site. It will turn the shower area into a storage area for wet waterproofs.

2.       Already constructed and working well, a shoe rack that just fits inside the rear door, against the cooker wall. It is like one of those dowelling wellie storage racks you find on front porches. We can now instantly transfer muddy shoes onto it as we come through the door.

3.       Creating a shelf to fit inside the big wardrobe in the bathroom. It will go fairly high up so that all the bedding, pillows and mattress topper can fit beneath. New storage for clothing, bike or camera gear, we haven’t decided which yet.

4.       We have discovered extra space under the bottom draw in the bathroom. The draw can be easily lifted out giving space beneath which is around 10cms deep. Perfect for storing those things we don’t use very often.

5.       Securing a bit of bungee cord below the coat pegs so that we can tuck hanging coats behind it. This keeps the narrow entrance way a bit clearer.

6.       Already done is the addition of neoprene strip around the outer lip of the external wet locker door. So far, it seems to have kept this locker drier.

7.       We need to add some grip tape to the electronic step. One of us has already almost nose planted his face in to the ground three times!

8.       We are thinking of adding a strip of wood to the base of the fixed bed slats area inside the large exterior locker, from which we can hang the water hose and the black waste drain pipe hose vertically. This should save some storage space in the exterior locker as a result.

9.       We are also wondering whether to add a restraining cord to the exterior locker door so that when opened it hangs horizontally and doesn’t need supporting. Then we can rest light stuff on the flap when shifting things around in the locker.
