We’re Steve & Maggie, based in the South West UK and travelling whenever life lets us.

We once had a caravan ‘Florence’ pulled by our beloved Skoda Yeti ‘Zebedee’. We adored them both but after a few years with ‘Florrie’ we realised we wanted to be able to move more freely and travel further afield into wilder areas.

And so, we swapped ‘Florence’ for ‘Bryony’ and started this blog to document our adventures in her - sharing what we learn, and connecting with fellow motorhomers’ who love the open road as much as we do. ‘WhereNextHun’ is our space to help you (and us) travel with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of adventure.

Bryony has carried us for five years now, through Cornish fishing villages, Welsh mountain passes, along Spanish twisty coastal roads, over Croatian Islands and across numerous muddy fields and tracks.  She’s cosy, very reliable, off grid capable and occasionally she beeps at us for no other reason than to let us know she’s enjoying herself too.

Why We Travel

For us, motorhoming is the perfect blend of comfort, spontaneity and discovery. We love the freedom of the open road and:

• Waking up somewhere new whenever we choose
• Travelling as a team — planning, navigating, writing, photographing, and occasionally debating the best route.
• Exploring places we’d never reach with traditional travel
• Slowing down and enjoying the journey, not just the destination – so chasing a promising sunset, or a big open clear night sky for our astrophotography
• Meeting people with stories as interesting as the places themselves

We are happiest discovering a new harbour, finding a romantic little café, cycling country lanes and trails, or sitting outside Bryony with a glass of something cold. Every trip teaches us something about the world, about travel, and often about ourselves and we believe motorhome travel should be accessible, enjoyable, and full of small joys.

Why We Blog

We started ‘WhereNextHun’ to document our adventures and learning and to help others new to motorhoming. We found the whole experience of searching for, buying and getting to grips with our first motorhome - exciting, terrifying and overwhelming at times.  By sharing our motorhome adventures, offering tips to help others plan their own trips and creating a friendly space for fellow travellers to drop by, we hope we can reduce the terrifying and overwhelming bit a little!  

We’re not influencers, experts, or full‑timers - just two people who love exploring and want to share our discoveries and invite others along for the ride.
